Let’s talk about Lisa’s Lunchbox. This teeny little deli is tucked into a corner room of a huge brick office building on Ridgeway Center Parkway. There are no signs on the building or and advertising on the street. You might wonder how the doors stay open, because I could barely find the place with my GPS. But let me tell you, once you travel the yellow brick road and make your way over there, you will not be disappointed.
I wouldn’t say Lisa’s is known for its ambiance, but the food more than makes up for it. There are hardly 20 tables in the entire restaurant and they are covered with the old school picnic style table cloths and, go figure, lunch boxes. I haven’t tried much on the menu because I am stuck on the Chicken Club Panini. This sandwich just makes me smile thinking about it. It’s the perfect combination of cheeses, vegetables and chicken all squished between a grilled hoagie roll. Oh, and please let me tell you about the most amazing ranch dressing you’ll ever taste. When I read they had the “best ranch dressing”, I almost laughed because every restaurant in America claims that and 9 out of 10 them fail miserably. Side note: I may or may not be a ranch snob. Seriously though, this ranch is brought down from heaven and put into tiny plastic ramekins to sit on the side of the perfect Panini. I love the sandwich so much that I scarf it down & always forget to take a picture of it. So you will have to work with me here & look at this picture I stole from Yelp. 🙂
If you are looking for a new lunch spot this is the place. The service is great and very fast. I can easily order, eat and get back to work in 30 min or less. There’s other stuff on the menu and I’m sure once I try it there will be another mile long article for you to read. So I will stop here and say go see Lisa. She’s a hidden gem.
